love in bloom

Samantha and Neil's love has deep roots -- literally. They own a landscape design business, and they imbued their wedding with their love of the natural world. a funny thing happened on the way to the wedding...

Elyse & Don met as performers in the comedy troupe 'Improv Boston'. They're very funny people, and they invited lots of past and present members of Improv Boston, so it was a very entertaining night at the Veronique Ballroom! wpja contest results

I was thrilled to learn that I recently earned top spots in two recent contests. A detail shot from a July wedding won 2nd place in the Details category of the WPJA Summer 2006 contest, and one of my favorite shots took the top spot in the AGWPJA summer contest.

I'm humbled and honored to be listed alongside people whose work I admire so greatly, some of the most talented people working in wedding photography today.

"The Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) is a professional organization composed of photojournalists and wedding photographers from around the world. What sets our members apart in the industry is their candid, documentary approach – a distinctly artistic vision toward wedding photography."

showered with luck, part one

On Saturday, the rain held off for Linda & Brian's ceremony at the beautiful St. Peter's by the Sea in Narragansett, RI (which features original Tiffany windows). Their wedding reception at the Dunes Club was set against a backdrop of a dramatic, stormy ocean -- before the rain started, we were able to sneak outside for a few quick pictures on the deck. Linda & Brian's reception settings featured arrangements and details in lovely shades of chocolate and periwinkle blue.

showered with luck, part two

Sunday brought rain as well, but it didn't dampen Lisa & John's spirits! Their wedding at the Seaport in Boston was a cozy and elegant celebration of their union, complete with great food, a spirited crowd, and great music.
